“Why would kids need a Chiropractor?”

I had a family today ask me, “Why would kids need a Chiropractor?”

This question has stuck with me because even though chiropractic care is an important part of life for me and my family, I often forget that it may not be the “norm” to have your entire family checked by a chiropractor.

Chiropractic care starts with the fundamental belief that within each and every child is the potential to change the world.

As a father, and a chiropractor, here is why I believe that chiropractic care is important care for the whole family:

In my practice, pediatric chiropractic care starts with the fundamental belief that within each and every child is the potential to change the world.

From the day we are conceived we are designed to not just live but to THRIVE.

A child’s body has the capability to grow, heal, adapt and, most importantly, to be their vehicle to pursue their dreams.

From the moment two cells came together to form YOU, there has been a system that has carefully orchestrated the task of taking you from 1 cell to over 70 trillion.

This system formed your child’s heart and all the blood vessels that supply their body. This system formed your child’s lungs, making it possible to breath. It also formed their immune system, giving them an opportunity to fight sickness.

Without naming the system, does it not make sense to make sure it is functioning to the best of its ability?

We get our teeth checked, we get physicals, we get our eyes checked, we get our hearing tested along with many other medical and physical tests to make sure our (and our child’s) bodies are performing at 100% and each and every one of these is extremely important but we cannot forget to check the system that coordinates our children’s growth and development!

(Looking for the research on chiropractic care? Get it here!)

This is my son Braden.

Braden CainI am home with him tonight because he’s not feeling well. (Yes chiropractors kids have bad days as well!)

I asked him if I could help him and we walked to our table in our living room and I checked his NERVOUS SYSTEM, objectively, utilizing state of the art technology. After his specific and gentle adjustment he wasn’t instantly better BUT, I know without a doubt that he will sleep tonight and while he is sleeping his nervous system will be in a better position to fight the stress (sickness) that he is under.

THAT is why kids need to see a chiropractor.

If there are any spelling/grammar errors I blame Braden because he is laying on me and my hand is completely numb while writing this on my phone.
